The Healthcare Committee of Collin County is hosting an educational forum on childhood obesity Tuesday, April 5, 6:30-9:00 p.m. at Collin College – McKinney Conference Center.
A panel of experts will speak on the epidemic of childhood obesity:

  • Dr. Carolyn Ashworth, Pediatrician -Defeating the Childhood Obesity Epidemic
  • Cindy Kleckner, RD, LD – Cooper Fitness Center at Craig Ranch – Raising Healthy Kids in a Junk Food World
  • Eduardo J. Sanchez, MD, MPH, FAAFP – V.P. & Chief Medical Officer, Medical Division BlueCross & Blue Shield of Texas. – Local Government Actions to Prevent Childhood Obesity
  • Joy Williams and Julie Blankenship, RN – McKinney ISD, Coordinated Health CATCH Program for Schools.

The Healthcare Committee of Collin County is a non-partisan grassroots organization focused on ensuring adequate quality healthcare/Mental Healthcare for all residents of Collin County. All are welcome.  Visit the website for more information: www.collinhealthcare.org.

The group is in a critical organizational phase at this moment. It’s time to mobilize talent and passion to get things accomplished. There are a lot of projects, funding, and advocacy efforts to discuss and focus upon.
