Artists are invited to create and donate to TDWCC an original artistic hammer(s) for the TDWCC fundraising dinner on September 28th around the dinner theme: Voting Democratic to Fix Our Future. We invite artists to draw inspiration from the top of this page, which lists the many things Democrats will “fix” once elected.
The art pieces may be decorated/painted everyday hammers, created or constructed hammers, rhetorical hammers, metaphorical hammers, etc.* Most of the “hammers” will be given as gifts to higher level donors, while some will be in the silent auction.
Artist bios/contact information and pictures of the works will be posted on the TDWCC website, press releases about the project and participating artists will be sent out, and the pieces will be on display at the dinner with artist information.
Money raised will go towards TDWCC Get Out The Vote (GOTV) efforts, which focus on supporting the election of our 9 endorsed candidates, including Barack Obama.
*While we prefer “hammers,” we will gratefully accept for our silent auction a drawing or painting that fits our theme if that is what you prefer to create.
